Counselling

A confidential, steady space to understand what is happening, make sense of difficult experiences and find ways forward at your pace.

The approach, fees and booking steps below are for Reset’s own service with Rosa Stevens. Prefer another practitioner? See your practitioner choices.

Face-to-face is the default.

Your practitioner. Your choice.

You don’t have to work with Rosa to find support here.

Reset is a collaborative therapeutic hub where you can discover Rosa Stevens’ own services and independent practitioners at Reset. Different people need different approaches. Read about their experience and interests, or ask a general question if you are unsure whom to approach.

Independent practitioners run their own practices. Their fees, bookings, agreements, insurance, client records, confidentiality and professional responsibilities are their own; they are not employed or clinically managed by Reset and do not work under Rosa’s registration. Contact them directly about suitability and availability.

No assessment with Rosa is needed to contact them. Ask Reset about your options if you would like general signposting. Any possible introduction is discussed with your agreement; each practitioner decides their own suitability and availability.

Finding the right support starts with a conversation

You don’t have to know exactly what kind of support you need before you contact Reset. We can help you explore your options, understand what different practitioners offer and consider what may suit your circumstances, preferences and hopes.

Sometimes that means working with Rosa Stevens; sometimes another independent practitioner at Reset or a different service may offer a more appropriate approach. With your knowledge and agreement, we can discuss a possible introduction. You remain free to decide.

A general enquiry does not require Rosa’s £25 assessment. Each independent practitioner decides suitability and explains their own assessment, fees and working agreement. An introduction or assessment does not guarantee availability or ongoing appointments.

Approved through your employer or insurer

IPRS Health

Already have sessions approved? Book them here.

If your workplace assistance programme or health insurer has approved counselling for you, you don't need to pay anything and you don't need to read through the fee options further down this page. Approvals are usually given in sets of two sessions. Your approval will name the practitioner you've been assigned — please book with that practitioner.

  1. 01

Contact your employer's insurance or assistance programme and ask for counselling to be approved. Approvals usually come in sets of two sessions.

  2. 02

Check the practitioner named in your approval. If it is Rosa Stevens, Reset will email you to arrange your appointment during practice hours. If another practitioner is named, contact them directly through their profile.

  3. 03

Have your client ID number ready when you meet — your treatment cost is paid directly, so no payment is taken from you.

The booking button below is for Rosa Stevens only. If another practitioner is named in your approval, find their profile and contact them directly. Do not use Rosa’s calendar for their sessions.

The cost is paid directly to Reset, so no payment is taken from you. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies. If you'd rather not use the booking page, email rosa.stevens@outlook.com and Reset will arrange the appointment with you — emails are replied to during practice hours (Tuesday to Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm).

Trauma-informed practice

Trauma-informed support, at a pace you can hold.

Rosa Stevens is a Trauma-Informed Therapist. Counselling takes the effects of difficult or overwhelming experiences into account, with safety, respect and choice at its heart. This does not automatically mean providing specialist trauma treatment, and you are not asked to retell painful memories to benefit from counselling.

  • You set the pace

You decide how much to share and when. You can pause, change direction or stop at any point.

  • Safety comes first

Before anything difficult is explored, the work builds what helps you feel grounded and steady day to day.

  • No pressure to retell

You do not have to describe what happened in detail for the work to help.

  • The body counts too

Trauma often shows up physically — as tension, shutdown, jumpiness or numbness. That is a normal response, not something to fix.

Rosa has completed European EMDR Level 1 training and is undertaking further EMDR training at Queen's University Belfast, with Level 3 training expected in December 2026. EMDR forms part of her ongoing professional development. Whether it is appropriate depends on your individual circumstances, therapeutic needs, readiness and Rosa's current training and competence.

Language, culture & belonging

Counselling in English and Italian.

Within her existing practice, Rosa offers counselling in both languages and has an interest in supporting people who have immigrated to the UK. There is space for your individual experience of identity, belonging, relationships and cultural adjustment, without assumptions about your story.

Counselling approved by your employer or insurer? That's arranged separately — go to the EAP & health insurance section above.

Your counselling forms & contract

One step at a time, before we begin.

You don't need to find or download a contract yourself. Reset will email the right form at the right stage. The assessment form and service contract are separate steps.

Your Agreement and Practice Information explains the four separate counselling and supervision agreements. These four agreements are currently withheld pending corrections, testing and Rosa’s final approval; no contract links are available to complete. No agreement is collected on this website.

  1. Step 1

    Book your first appointment

Choose your assessment or discovery appointment. You do not need to sign the service contract yet.

  2. Step 2

    Complete your secure assessment form

After booking, Reset sends the appropriate secure Microsoft Form. The essential private details help safeguard and support you, including in an emergency, and are handled in accordance with GDPR. Do not share them on this website.

  3. Step 3

    Attend your first assessment

Talk with Reset about what you need and whether working together is suitable. You can ask questions and discuss the next steps.

  4. Step 4

Read and acknowledge your approved contract

After assessment, scan the matching QR code on the agreement page. Read it and ask about anything unclear before acknowledging it and agreeing ongoing work. Email delivery and copies are not yet confirmed.

  5. Step 5

    Agree your ongoing sessions

Confirm the format, frequency and payment arrangements with Reset. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all Reset bookings.

Your assessment and agreement are separate. The counselling and supervision agreements remain unavailable here pending Rosa’s final approval. No contract is completed on this website.

Annual leave & planned absences

Planned annual leave will normally be communicated at least two weeks in advance, with clear information about the dates affected. Unexpected absences will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, appointments are arranged with planned absences in mind. Limited appointments during leave are identified separately; your usual appointment does not automatically continue. Alternative appointments cannot always be offered.

Reset is not a crisis or emergency service, including during leave. In immediate danger call 999; for urgent emotional support call Samaritans on 116 123.

The £190 monthly counselling fee is calculated from the overall annual cost of weekly counselling, divided into 12 equal monthly payments. It stays the same in months with an additional weekly appointment. During planned annual leave, clients manage their own subscription pause and restart through the relevant booking arrangements or contact Rosa to discuss changes. Rosa does not automatically pause, adjust or restart subscriptions. Limited holiday appointments do not automatically change your usual weekly subscription or appointment arrangements.
