Clinical supervision

A thoughtful working relationship that supports safe practice, professional development and space to reflect on client work and the practitioner self. Reset supervises integrative therapists and life coaches who work with adults, alongside qualified and trainee counsellors.

The approach, fees and booking steps below are for Reset’s own service with Rosa Stevens.

Regular supervision — not occasional appointments
By entering the supervision agreement, you commit to at least 90 minutes every month, with more where your caseload requires it. This applies whether you pay monthly or per session, including student supervision. Reset holds you accountable for your duty of care and agreed ethical requirements, supporting BACP and NCPS ethical practice. Not meeting these commitments can rupture the supervisory relationship and will be discussed and reviewed together. Read the supervision working agreement.

Before you book: Chrysalis students
Reset does not take on supervision students from Chrysalis training. Please arrange supervision with another supervisor who can support your course requirements.

Before you book: if you're currently in counselling at Reset
You can't take supervision with Reset while you are a counselling client. This is an ethical boundary under the BACP Ethical Framework — counsellors avoid holding more than one role with the same person at a time — and it says nothing about you or your suitability. Once your counselling has ended and a suitable length of time has passed, you're very welcome to book supervision. See dual relationships & changing roles.

Face-to-face is the default.
Every appointment is treated as face-to-face in Holywood unless Reset has received your email asking for an online session. Finding the right support starts with a conversation

You don’t have to know exactly what kind of support you need before you contact Reset. We can help you explore your options, understand what different practitioners offer and consider what may suit your circumstances, preferences and hopes.

Sometimes that means working with Rosa Stevens; sometimes another independent practitioner at Reset or a different service may offer a more appropriate approach. With your knowledge and agreement, we can discuss a possible introduction. You remain free to decide.

A general enquiry does not require Rosa’s £25 assessment. Each independent practitioner decides suitability and explains their own assessment, fees and working agreement. An introduction or assessment does not guarantee availability or ongoing appointments.

Reset’s approach

Supervision is provided by a Level 6 CPCAB certified supervisor. The integrative approach is informed by the seven-eyed model and adapted to your stage of practice. The supervisor attends consultant supervision to reflect on this work, so supervisees benefit from an extra layer of support and oversight. No identifying details are shared.

Your clinical supervision forms & contract

One step at a time, before we begin.

You don't need to find or download a contract yourself. Reset will email the right form at the right stage. The assessment form and service contract are separate steps.

Your Agreement and Practice Information explains the four separate counselling and supervision agreements. These four agreements are currently withheld pending corrections, testing and Rosa’s final approval; no contract links are available to complete. No agreement is collected on this website.

  1. Step 1

    Book your first appointment

Choose your assessment or discovery appointment. You do not need to sign the service contract yet.

  2. Step 2

    Complete your secure assessment form

Reset emails the Supervision Assessment & Suitability Form after booking. Complete it securely before a supervision agreement is made. It helps Reset assess your training, professional requirements and support needs.

  3. Step 3

    Attend your first assessment

Talk with Reset about what you need and whether working together is suitable. You can ask questions and discuss the next steps.

  4. Step 4

Read and acknowledge your approved contract

After assessment, scan the matching QR code on the agreement page. Read it and ask about anything unclear before acknowledging it and agreeing ongoing work. Email delivery and copies are not yet confirmed.

  5. Step 5

    Agree your ongoing sessions

Confirm the format, frequency and payment arrangements with Reset. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all Reset bookings.

Your assessment and agreement are separate. The counselling and supervision agreements remain unavailable here pending Rosa’s final approval. No contract is completed on this website.

What does the Supervision Assessment & Suitability Form cover?

It asks about your training and experience, placement and client work, professional registration, insurance, safeguarding and relevant criminal record clearance, previous supervision and the support you need. It also asks for emergency contact details to help safeguard and support you in an emergency.

Reset will explain the supporting documents needed and how to provide them. Supervision cannot begin until the required documents are supplied. Please do not include identifiable client information.

Supervision preparation forms must be completed and submitted before every session. The suitability form also explains professional responsibilities and circumstances in which contact with your supervisor, training provider or placement may be needed for ethical or safeguarding reasons.

Information is treated confidentially and stored securely in accordance with GDPR. Completing the form does not guarantee acceptance into supervision; suitability is assessed by Reset.

Annual leave & planned absences

Planned annual leave will normally be communicated at least two weeks in advance, with clear information about the dates affected. Unexpected absences will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, appointments are arranged with planned absences in mind. Limited appointments during leave are identified separately; your usual appointment does not automatically continue. Alternative appointments cannot always be offered.

Reset is not a crisis or emergency service, including during leave. In immediate danger call 999; for urgent emotional support call Samaritans on 116 123.
